Shipping Policy

Freight, delivery timelines, and shipping coverage for every TakeawayPack order.

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Freight Included in Every Quote

Freight is included in the unit price on every TakeawayPack order shipped to the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and Oceania. There are no separate shipping charges added at invoice — the price you approve at quote is the delivered price for cartons at your named destination.

We ship on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis: freight, import duties, and standard customs clearance are all included, so you receive the goods with no additional charges at destination. Carrier, service level, and delivery timing are confirmed on the quote based on order volume, destination, and how time-sensitive the shipment is.

What "Freight Included" Covers

Included:

  • Export packing (carton marks, palletization where required)
  • Ocean or air freight from our facility to your destination country
  • Import duties and standard customs clearance in the destination country (DDP)
  • Door delivery to the commercial address on your purchase order
  • Full tracking from origin to destination

Not included (buyer responsibility unless separately agreed):

  • VAT / GST recoverable by the importer of record where applicable
  • Non-standard destination services (lift-gate, residential delivery, inside delivery, appointment delivery, warehouse receiving fees)
  • Storage, demurrage, or detention charges caused by delayed pickup or incorrect delivery information

Production Time

Production lead time depends on whether you are ordering a stock format or custom-printed packaging, and is confirmed on the quote:

  • Stock items — typically ready to ship in 5–7 business days after payment
  • Custom-printed orders — typically 15–25 business days after artwork proof approval and payment

Rush production may be available for time-sensitive orders. Please share your target in-hand date on the inquiry and we will confirm feasibility and any applicable rush fees.

Transit Time

Ocean freight is the default mode for bulk orders. Typical transit times, after production is complete:

  • United States — 25–40 days by ocean to major ports (LAX, LGB, NYC, SAV, HOU)
  • United Kingdom — 30–40 days by ocean to Felixstowe, Southampton, London Gateway
  • Europe — 30–45 days by ocean to major ports (Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp)
  • Oceania — 20–30 days by ocean to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland

Air freight is available for urgent orders and is quoted on request based on volume, weight, and destination.

Transit times are estimates based on current carrier schedules and can be affected by port congestion, weather, customs holds, and public holidays. Firm delivery windows are confirmed on the shipping documents once the vessel or flight is booked.

Customs & Documentation

Because shipments ship DDP, we act as the exporter of record and coordinate destination clearance. For every shipment we provide:

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list with carton dimensions and gross/net weight
  • Bill of lading (ocean) or air waybill (air)
  • Certificate of origin on request
  • Food-contact and material certifications on request (see Certifications & Materials)

Split Shipments

If you need part of your order earlier than the balance, we can arrange split shipments. Any additional freight cost is confirmed on the quote before production starts.

Tracking

You will receive tracking details by email within 2–3 business days of the shipment leaving our facility. For ocean freight, this includes booking number, vessel name, ETD, and ETA. For air freight or courier, this is the airway bill or courier tracking number.

Delivery Issues

If cartons arrive damaged, short, or with visible tampering, please:

  1. Note the issue on the delivery receipt before signing
  2. Photograph the outer cartons, seals, and affected product within 48 hours of delivery
  3. Contact us at info@takeawaypack.com immediately

We will work with the carrier — and, where the shipment is covered by cargo insurance we arranged, with the insurer — to arrange replacement, credit, or claim resolution. See our Returns & Refunds policy for the full damage handling process.
